Tooth Fairy

July 15, 2008 - Last night Joshua lost his first tooth while we were at the Mama Gym (Total Woman). He said he was so proud of himself and I was so excited for him. We put the tooth in a little velvet bag and stuck it underneath his pillow at night. At 6 a.m.

Joshua woke up saying the words no parent wants to hear: "Mommy, the tooth fairy didn't come." I was panicked; Joshua was sobbing.  Aaargh! How could I have screwed up his first tooth fairy experience?

At my insistence, he fell back asleep. So at 6:30 a.m. I am fumbling
through my purse looking to find a quarter, only to find nickels and
dimes. Drat! Luckily for me, I find a quarter in my car. Joshua
woke up at 7:30, but he didn't look under his pillow and I had to tell
him to look again. Wow! "Look, a shiny quarter!" He seems
skeptical...maybe I should tell him about Santa and get this whole
charade over with!

Scratch

December 31, 2007 -  Cameron scratched Joshua's face and I showed him what he did.  He said, "I'm sorry.  I am being naughty."

Warm Hearts

December 10, 2007 - At Burbank Mommy & Me, I read Joshua a sweet Christmas story and he hugged me:  "Thank you, Mommy.  You make my heart warm."  Cameron comes up to him and puts his hand on his heart and says, "Yes, his heart is warm."
